Some stargazing tips I hope anyone south of the Equator can comment: I read that an alternative way to find the South Celestrial Pole is to find the mid-point of the line between the "Eyes of the Fly" (Alpha & Beta Mus) & the Small Magellanic Cloud. Is this accurate & useful? ?_?
This is what I saw in most astronomy books, hence my question if the alternative way is reasonable and if anyone really use that. I have so far yet to step foot on the Southern Hemisphere, hence my question.
