Yeah they will have to stick it for SN9's next flight, and I'm sure it needs a lot more tweaking for the fine precision movements near the surface to make it a good robotic lander, never mind people (which is still years away). Still that's quite s/t that was demonstrated today.

They need to perfect refueling to get to the Moon. That and thermal protection on reentry feel like the biggest hurdles, not the landing itself.

They can use it as a lunar lander for Artemis III by solving refueling and landing but without worrying about heat shields. It’s gonna need a fair amount of flight history before NASA will use it as a launch vehicle, and if they have Orion might as well land in it.
