A wild Long March 8 rocket has been spotted at Wenchang for ground tests today ahead if its NET Late December test flight.
While unlikely per rumors, the million RMB question is, of course, if it has legs and grid fins.

Wasn't the CZ-8 supposed to have solid fueled boosters? (Might be mistaken but I remember something from the original renderings)
Yes that's the original plan. The liquid boosters (shared with those from the LM-7) was first seen at around the same time first stage recovery was considered, so the change might be linked. (the current future plan is for the 1st stage and boosters landing in one piece)
i read somewhere that these guys already have a 6G satellite up there for testing
