long March 5 has 10 engines spreads among 4 boosters. This is 21 engines among 3 boosters, so only marginally more complicated. And your 2025 date seems reasonable for the typical speed of China in space, but seeing that assembled booster makes me think 2023 isn’t off the table.
It's a structural test article of the engine compartment with mock-up engines AFAIK; CALT also did some initial test 1st stage LOX/fuel tanks for this new design. They're still quite some way from flight articles though; 2023 will need much larger strides than we see for LM5-8.

Thanks! Still, much further along than I had realized. This is a very sensible approach. If China made it a priority, I think they could do it. As it is, probably 2025 is more realistic.
