So as with ongoing Chinese missions I'm going to make a shallow dig into their sources/papers to see if more details can be dug up soon. Chang'e 5 is definitely worth following, if only for that getting substantial samples off a substantial gravity well is HARD!

I doubt China will take the risk in launching something like this unless they figure it will succeed. TIANWEN-1 is also IMHO a very high risk mission for them. Having two missions of this type is play suggests some real confidence. ..

Looking at ITU records a 'housekeeping' update was made in March 2020 to the filings for LUNAR S-SAT, LUNAR CTDRS-1. Nothing of substance changed so I suspect this may be something stimulated by planning for CHANG'E 5. They appear to be using CE4 band-plan with QUEQIAO.
