The rumors out there is that both this one and the 1st KZ-11 that failed in July both had problems with their (apparently pressure-fed) liquid upper stage engines.
And they say pressure-fed rocket engines are "simple".....

For CASC maybe it`s simple, but CASIC may not.
For a fairly prominent long time state enterprise that has quite a bit experiences with missiles and rockets, and of those things rocket engines that doesn’t use turbopumps? I heard that CASIC still has some way to go regarding keeping things up and running, but still....pic.twitter.com/MhnaatNrfr
