Maybe short loss of power, flameout in the engine, subsequent restart of pumps without ignition? Or fuel passively pressure-fed into the engines and heated up by residual heat in the chamberwall?
That altitude/velocity readings post what is apparently the failure point doesn't look like to me they are showing a simple natural fall back to Earth assuming engine stopped.

Yeah, with electrical pumps I wonder if the battery zapped or power supply has failed. Maybe it even has relation with the planned battery hot-swap despite this shouldn't be until 30 seconds later?
