A huge shock may be happening when, with the Japanese nearly lead the trend (GX), the Russians giving meticulous work & @SpaceX/@blueorigin/@ulalaunch buzzing w/ frenzy, some random unknown Chinese startup may fly the 1st methane rocket engine to orbit!

@RocketLab/@Virgin_Orbit/@Astra/@Firefly_Space.
Also I've looked around for more info - hmm they are building an *oxidizer-rich* *stage combustion* *methane/LOX* engine for their mini-1st stage. That's pretty daring for such a start up (on the scale of the old @Firefly_Space with aerospikes)....
