@cory_fitz I just saw your newsletters - very interesting to me as I have been following Chinese spaceflight for years and their NewSpace sector is a complete mess to follow on even if I can read Chinese natively.

I count 3 already flew (1 success so far), 1 close to launch & not including "OldSpace" CALT & CASIC. I cannot help but think that these private developments have much more tight links w/ the government than anywhere else. Perhaps the market structure is completely different too?

Also note we seems to have a slight chance of seeing 1 of these Chinese private start-ups beating @blueorigin+@ulalaunch+Russians+Japanese+Europeans to getting a methane rocket to orbit! Both Landspace (ZQ-2) & iSpace (Hyperbola 2) are claiming trying to get off by early 2021.
