Why would it be a proof ? Can you explain ?
Basically: 1. This tracking ship left China way back in late Feb., these ships' 1st job in the Atlantic since 2008 (SZ-7). 2. It may have tracked the new crew S/C, but it seems it will support de-orbit tracking of this S/P. Landing at JSLC would see de-orbit off SW Africa.
Can someone explain why this is? What does this ship being in Namibia have to do with a Chinese space plane?
1. The Chinese S/P rumor comes from other independent sources. 2. This tracking ship was in the S Atlantic since March & people were guessing it may be to track the de-orbit burn of this S/P. Landing at JSLC would put de-orbit burn off SW Africa a la Shenzhou missions.
As of an hour ago, it was headed south for the cape.pic.twitter.com/DzDLz2ICfM
Thanks, though it's a good question how the landing of a notional X-37 like spaceplane at JSLC would look like from a map. There seems to be still chances of this mission happening soon if the ship stops within these 2-3 days (last rumor I've seen of launch date was "~May 20").
