But none of the features that might have caused the price decrease would be there without 3 decades of experiences of the Space Shuttle Program and other programs. Also, as Mr. Hale wrote, many of the features of the STS has yet to find a successor.

Design objective - CrewDragon was never designed for similar functionality as STS. It was meant to ferry astronauts (more than any capsule), along with trunk capacity. The objective of design was simple and thus EVA and Arm comparison makes little sense
