You can see how difficult it is to follow Chinese spaceflight news by considering that there may be 4 sat launches within a week soon (10/26-11/1) but none of them (!) can be confirmed with certainty. 2 of them have "rumored" dates & 2 others were dates from some time ago. (1/2)

.....and the 2 launches w/ known dates were only because organizations involved were at IAC 2018. Also none of these 4 were w/ classified payloads - 2 are with civilian Earth obs. sats (1 even with foreign partners), 1 with navsats and the last is from a private startup! (2/2)

AND the bastards are doing missile tests for several days so the usual "temporary rest" term gets pinged! ... But if I'm brutally honest there's also some morbid fun to it.

Speaking of which, I think the next sat launch right now is from Plesetsk - a Loto-S ELINT sat. Thanks to attention to the Soyuz rockets RTF we have a launch date from RIA - October 25/6 (was apparently to be on the 19th before the MS-10 accident):https://ria.ru/space/20181018/1530950775.html …
