    Space Force orbital data for Nauka: 191 x 346 km x 51.6 deg initial orbit. Proton No. 535-45 third stage in 192 x 337 km. This 4-tonne third stage will make an uncontrolled reentry in a few days. Nauka will raise its orbit to rendezvous with the ISS.

  7. Checking past history though, the Soviets/Russians did have enough problems of space station modules en route to stations in history, 3 of Mir's 5 big modules have had serious problems before docking! (thanks to 's Mir Hardware Heritage for some of the sources)

  10. There's a bit of Dragon CRS-2 vibes with this (which was 8 years ago...wow), though I have to wonder if this is related to the lagging LD call outs in Russian in the last minute of Proton powered flight that cumulated to the S/C sep. call out went missing. Probably not, but...

  11. Whoops, the dramatic story of MLM Nauka already continues to develop just 1 orbit into space - one docking antenna & (not used yet) nadir docking port target unable to be confirmed deployed + IR horizon sensors & multiple RCS thrusters reporting errors….

    NASA Admin Bill Nelson just said on that NASA's looking at the late 2030s for human trips to Mars. To those who think they can get there sooner? Well, "have at it," but there are a lot of ifs out there and NASA's going to go carefully.
