At 7PM tonight, we reopened applications to the COVID-19 relief fund for undocumented workers & families. Within a minute of launching, we received over 900 applications. Many more people could not even get the page to load. And by 7:25, we reached out limit of 2500.
So many people were applying, in fact, our website crashed for us, too, and we could not close the application for another 7 minutes or so while trying to access our account. In that time, an additional *2300* people applied for funds.
Our undocumented-led fund committee will work to review these applications & distribute funds as fast as possible, but we do not have enough for everyone who applied, not even considering the hundreds who tried but could not get the application to load.https://secure.actblue.com/donate/cosechamutualaid …
