The NFL anthem protest decision is not honoring America, it is an affront to our proud legacy of athletes and others taking a stand to call to the conscience of our country to live up to her ideals.pic.twitter.com/EFDvCRg4ri

NO, it is honoring America because Americans don't want to be accosted with politics as they've spent their hard-earned money to patronize a football game. They want to protest, they can do it in the lockerroom.

People say 'they could care less' when they mean they 'couldn't care less'. The phrase "I couldn't care less" originated in Britain & made its way to the United States in the 1950s. The phrase "I could care less" appeared in the US about a decade later. So, we're both right.

ATTENTION PLEASE: Kaepernick is a black NFL player who started this to draw attention to unwarranted abuse of blacks. The NFL is 70% black. WHY HAS NO ONE ASKED THIS QUESTION YET: WHY IS TRUMP ONLY DEMANDING THE PLAYERS STAND OR BE DEPORTED? WHY NOT EVERYONE? HELLO????????????

Booker & company need to do a better job at protecting citizens of color against these nationalist efforts that are afoot.

No - we need to do a better job and GOTV. They can’t do anything with no power. We have to take back the Senate and Congress and several local elections to start to turn the tide and force change.

That's one part of it but to act as if #democratic #senators are totally powerless and incapable to asserting themselves more is wreckless. At some point they have to take over! 1400+ kids & we're supposed to wait until November? Has to be a better way!https://twitter.com/NPR/status/999473883420897281?s=19 …

Mr Booker ........ It is not the players protesting the bottom line is .... WHERE THEY ARE PROTESTING ....... They are being paid by the spectators money for entertainemt / sports .... let them protest on their time and not AMERICANS DIME . Its Code of Conduct ...

It doesn’t take money out of your pocket for them to kneel during the anthem. And if you are offended, just remember that you don’t have a right to not be offended. If we all had to worry about what others felt about what we did and said, we would have to stay in our homes.

When you go to lets say a concert and the first 20 minutes is a protest .... I refuse to accept that Americans have to PAY to see a protest ... its VENUE, it may be a sport but their actions reflect on their employers, Team Owners, and they have a right to have a code of conduct

Additionally, it’s not any extra time – its during the anthem, So it literally doesn’t cost you anything in money or time. Nobody has ever gotten upset at the fact that people get up to go and buy beer – or chug down that beer – during the anthem. Therein lies the hypocrisy..
