Unconstitutional. But you love unconstitutional.

Our current system in which where you live determines the availability of healthcare is unconstitutional. Violates the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment.
-
I'll agree with that. So we need to get government out of the way, not put it more in the way.
-
A for-profit system can never fix this problem. It will always prioritize the wealthy, which is wrong when lives are at stake. We need Medicare for All, where everyone gets the same high-quality care.
-
You're headed the right direction but wrong path. For profit system prioritizes revenue. This can be accomplished 2 ways: low prices and high volume or low volume and high prices. Most for profit prioritizes high volume which is catered to the masses and not wealthy.
-
Profit motives don't result in fair distribution. We have plenty of systems that are not for profit already - our military, our public schools, our national parks. Why not add healthcare? We already demand that no one is turned away from an ER - so just expand further
-
Because it costs. Just because you listed off other items that shouldnt be as they are, doesnt mean we should add more to the list. We should be working to eliminate the risks. Over $5,000 is taken from me against my will yearly to fund schools, parks, etc...all stuff I dont use.
-
You do use it. You breathe clean air because of the parks. You live safely among literate, educated people because of the schools. You are part of a society and helping one of us helps all of us.

Oh snap. Yes you have a great point.

I like Booker. I do. But if he was worried about safety, he wouldn't have supported the 21st Century Cures Act.

Thanks for sponsoring the bill Cory, BTW: You need to make amends for your past voting record.

Government employees can’t even properly run the DMV and you want us to trust them to be responsible for our healthcare? No thanks!!
-
Watch the townhall and educate yourself. Your spewing nonsense
-
I disagree, We need less government not more I do not want the government in control of my healthcare and the price will be astronomical!!
-
Yea let's go back to mob rule! No protections, woman can't vote or work, no Social Security, soup lines, etc. You should kiss the government by the people for the people of the people's feet!
-
I think you went a little overboard there. Where did I protest to bring back soup lines?? Not wanting government controlling my healthcare is no t equivalent to soup lines and mob rule.
