@CoryBooker Raw honesty...From what I've seen it won't be long until you're well versed. #respect
@CoryBooker @95Sports Perhaps you should let doctors be doctors.
@DaveBaldwinJax I'm curious what this tweet means. Are you seriously against a 30 second test that is cheap and could save kids lives?
.@95Sports I'm opposed to gov interference in the doctor-patient relationship.
@DaveBaldwinJax It's a 30 second test. That costs $15. This "government interference" has already literally saved lives.
@CoryBooker @95Sports it's a non-invasive probe, only needed for monitoring if oxygenation is an issue
@TDSCouch re: pulse ox. It's an indicator of heart defects. It's 30 seconds and cheap. What's the problem?
@95Sports no problem, it's a flashlight on a finger, never knew it to indicate heart defects, they cost $11.70, let 'em all have them.
@TDSCouch sorry to get snotty. My daughter has a CDH, so it's an issue LITERALLY close to my heart
@95Sports I understand, pulse ox's are fine but often unreliable and do not replace good clinical judgment and diagnostics
@TDSCouch I'm not saying it should be a replacement. Just an indicator that more testing needs to be done.
@95Sports absolutely, anything that helps, I also super increased prenatal monitoring since cardiac defects are often anatomical
@CoryBooker @95Sports it measures the amt of 02 in the blood, it's that light they put on your finger in the hosp, it will not save lives
@TDSCouch Before you say again "it won't save lives", read this article. Then I'll accept your apology. http://articles.philly.com/2013-07-08/news/40423007_1_congenital-heart-disease-heart-defect-screening-program …
@95Sports no apologies, I believe a pulse ox to be a monitoring device & should not take the place of better diagnostic tools,
@TDSCouch It's a first indicator. They aren't going to crack your chest as soon as they do it. They would send you for an echo/EKG next
@CoryBooker I'm on 02 & KNOW what it is.:-) It's small unit you put on finger, gives U 02 blood sat. levels. CAN save lives, NOT expensive!
@CoryBooker here is some background on why we consider it standard of care----->
