You're here commenting on political and activism stuff. Those efforts are explicitly designed to preserve the culture of black and Latino communities by keeping upper income people and whites and Asians out.

Talking about it and actually getting involved in it are 2 diffrent things. And yet you see ALOT of Asian stores/ restaurants in black/brown neighborhoods
. But NO taquerias or Latino restaurants/stores in Chinatown. Who's really keeping who out?

Maybe Mexicans like Chinese food but few Chinese enjoy Mexican? So who is really keeping who out?

Not just restaurants but ANY latino/black buisness which you don't see there. It's not an excuse for keeping out other races. if people in Chinatown can keep other races out to "preserve" their neighborhood why is it wrong for Latinos/blacks to do the same?

I don't have a problem with any of these groups wanting to retain their neighborhood identity. I respect that black and Hispanic neighborhoods wish to stay that way and extend Asian Americans and rich suburbanites the same courtesy.

Yet we been giving them the courtesy of coming and settling in our neighborhoods and slowly changing it for years and when we want to go their neighborhoods they don't want us there. They want to be in our neighborhoods but don't want us in theirs. Do you see how wrong that is?

How are you giving people “courtesy…”? There are are a lot of vacant commercial space around China Basin. If one is earnest in wanting to share their culture through food/retail can start there or anywhere outside the city.

I'd find it hard to believe that landlords in Chinatown refuse to rent to Latino businesses.. though I could be wrong.

It's obvious at this point. Have you EVER heard or even seen a black/latino buisness there?
