Around 3 years ago when I started to look at how terrrorists might exploit blockchain tech in the future, one of the biggest concerns I had was the development of a decentralized social media channel. We’re seeing such experimentation now.

FWIW, after reading their whitepaper, I feel like the app does none of the things it says it does. It feel a lot like a farce to me.

Hmmm...I haven't gone through the white paper, so interesting to hear that. I wonder if other programmers have looked deeply at this. There have been scam platforms masquerading as extremist websites in the past. Something to look into.
