Radio station in Greeley once picked up a story about a crime near the UNC campus - but you had to click through to see it was from North Carolina, not Northern Colorado. When I protested, the news director said it was an automated feed.

The Seattle Times is controlled by the Blethen family w/ 50.5% ownership. That has made a big difference in staffing and quality. But the other 49.5% is owned by Chatham, a private equity firm. The family is in the driver's seat, but the wolf is around if anything goes sideways.
