It’s a virtual iOS environment. It’s not jailbroken as in can be done on an actual device.
-
Surely that means he got a exploit or bugs which leds to jaipbreak..
-
No. He has full control over the kernel. He can simply patch setruid and get root or patch task_for_pid and get TFP0...

Jesus this doesnt mean its jailbroken
@CorelliumHQ made this software he can manipulate it how he wants that doesnt mean its a jailbreak for actual devices -
Yes it does. Definition of Jailbreak. Root RW access, nullified codesigning, and task_for_pid patched. It's jailbroken, just virtualised. Being "jailbroken" isn't limited to a physical device. Jailbreaking means more than that.
-
I think we all know what i meant. No point in trying to be right so bad, i only pointed out that it isnt jailbroken in the sense of what that term is commonly used at to the many people here who seem to think it has been fully exploited
-
In terms of how the end-user interprets the word "Jailbreak", yeah, you are right. However the factual meaning of Jailbreak means more, albeit a lot do not know this :/, which is understandable though.
-
Of course, i know that ;) just wanted to make sure the jailbreak users understand what
@CorelliumHQ did before they jump to conclusions -
They will always jump to conclusions. Always lol. It happened the moment you tapped "Reply"
. People are stupid, and it's not our job to correct them :/.
