Does privacy have value? Currently, valuing privacy is like swimming upstream. Because it is difficult most people don't. But trading too much privacy for convenience is akin to bargaining for security by trading freedom. Choose freedom. Choose privacy.

To clarify, the question is specifically addressing whether gov't should use facial rec to identify criminal suspects, not whether private parties should use the technology.

Facial rec tech is widely used by private parties (unlocking phones, workplace, etc.). It is also used by law enforcement to identify suspects in investigations. Should this be the case? Does the error rate of the tech matter to your answer? govtech.com/public-safety/
