My life has been consumed with writing regexes for the past week. Parsing postgres logs. I finally got my suite of regexes tuned just right though! My teammate says that regexes look like a cat walking across the keyboard but that all things considered mine look pretty good.

For anything more complicated than /.foo*?bar/, I've started using the style @JEG2 used in one of his videos a while back. Comments FTW!pic.twitter.com/suDxbodQ1o

If you can make regex look good, you deserve a witches hat. You are a level 100 spellcrafter

Regexes are the devil's work - which explains why they're so much fun to write.

I recently started writing some log parsers and log parsers api, which won't use any regexes because I hate them haha

I love a good regex as much as I love a good SQL query. Something about wrangling data into a format you need just feels super satisfying.
