The campaign is over. No longer any need to pretend abortion involves "care and compassion". It involves the ending of a baby's life. Forcing a doctor to take part in that goes against everything they have been trained to do. #prolife #FightOnLoveBothhttps://twitter.com/thejournal_ie/status/1006065243846512640 …

That’s your particular strange view. Most Irish people can see the need for doctors to provide a caring and compassionate approach to women in need of a termination. GPs should provide names and addresses of colleagues who will help if they won’t help their patients themselves

No, the Government should provide the list of doctors who are prepared to end the life of a baby. It is unreasonable to force doctors who disagree with ending life to partake in it in anyway. This is neither particular nor strange in a democracy.

Nobody is asking antichoice doctors to perform a termination or prescribe medication to bring about an end of pregnancy. All they need to do is point in the direction of a doctor who will provide assistance.

That simply boils down to whether as a doctor you will end the baby's life yourself or give the name of a doctor who will. Conscientious objection should not include a requirement to be involved at any level.

There you go using the word "forced" again. Totally over the top. No "force" involved; no threat of prosecution or imprisonment.

No they shouldn't. By the way you are not a Doctor and you will never have a termination so really not your business.

So they can be tormented by those who cannot accept a democratic decision?
