I get very mixed feedback on how well I pass. On the one hand, a lot of trans people tell me "you pass 100% 10/10 A+ mission accomplished, perfect." And I have had the experience of meeting cis people who didn't realize I was trans until I mentioned it.

And seeing as the feedback is mixed and I don't trust my own perception, I don't know how I'm supposed to figure that out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've admittedly had a lot of time to work through dysmorphia vs. dysphoria differences (mostly because I spent my whole life thinking my dysphoria was some variant of dysmorphia), but I promise taking the time to figure it out is worth it in the long run.

It's hard, and the process is different for everyone. I imagine it's even more difficult being a trans woman, since so much of womanhood in general is unfortunately defined by physical appearance and trying to modify it to a certain standard.

Cishet male here. You look gorgeous and your fashion is so on point it makes arrowheads envious.

You already pass perfectly, though. Half of my female friends look more masculine than you do (some of them even have noticeable upper lip hair). There is no one way to look "like a woman"; don't fall prey to society's female beauty standard, which 95% of women can never reach.

I know how dysphoria feels for you, and I know that being told you're lovely you are by strangers doesnt help to convince otherwise, but I've unironically seen you as goals since you started getting yous style on point (the name is a coincidence though. <3)

Q: anytime I consider cosmetic surgery such as ffs, I come to the paradoxical conclusion that I want it to look “female” but don’t want to look female by “””unnatural/surgical””” means, do you experience a similar conflict of interest?
