It's not a huge division in the LGBT community I'm a part of. In the over-40 crowd maybe, in more conservative areas sure, but among young, cosmopolitan LGBTs "Are trans women women?" is not an open question.

You’re out of touch. Check out the rad fem community on tumblr. It’s huge and mostly teenagers and very young adults. Posting under aliases because they don’t want to be attacked in real life.
