I had no interest in the femme version of my deadname, though it would've meant just adding an "a" to the end. Fun was picking a name, Lauren was basically my favorite name that I could use and just felt right.

I avoided feminizing my dead name too. The fact that people kept suggesting that I use a feminized version of my name, actually meant that they didn't want to make an effort towards me. And if they can't accept a new name, how are they gonna accept my identity at all.
