I think maybe the bar for white people has just been set really fucking low.
(Re first tweet in this thread) I'm not saying race is a matter of psychological identity or anything like that. The analogy is: As being cis tends to make you oblivious to trans issues, being white tends to make you oblivious to race issues.
You can always double check with your black followers (aka me or other POC) about the content you make about race. I think that’s a good way to prevent any damage or anything!!
Also @chescaleigh does a great job of talking about oppressions that don’t affect her because she collaborates with individuals that do face that kind of oppressionZ. Def something to think about!

I agree, but as a whitey I don't think cutting down on discussion would do me any good. When discussing race, I simply endeavor to do way more listening than talking.

True, but wouldn't it be accjrate to say that is part of white privelege, just like how cis privilege exists?
