I'm much more reluctant to discuss race than I used to be, I think as a result of seeing how easy it is for cis people to fuck up talking about trans people, and being aware (very loosely speaking) that whiteness is the cisgender of race.

You can always double check with your black followers (aka me or other POC) about the content you make about race. I think that’s a good way to prevent any damage or anything!!

Also
@chescaleigh does a great job of talking about oppressions that don’t affect her because she collaborates with individuals that do face that kind of oppressionZ. Def something to think about!

Decent analogy for explaining to the just-wokes, not so great for coming to terms with historical weight of whiteness.

I'm not sure there's a 400-year history of trans-enslaving cis people, but maybe there is.

I agree, but as a whitey I don't think cutting down on discussion would do me any good. When discussing race, I simply endeavor to do way more listening than talking.

Analogizing race and gender has a long fraught history that has often lead to violent forms of erasure, which is why intersectionality tells us to resist the temptation to do so.

True, but wouldn't it be accjrate to say that is part of white privelege, just like how cis privilege exists?
