Interestingly, no one ever calls me racist these days. It's been like six months since I've heard that from anyone, which is sort of remarkable considering how often "TERF" and "transphobe" have been directed at me.
I think maybe the bar for white people has just been set really fucking low.
(Re first tweet in this thread) I'm not saying race is a matter of psychological identity or anything like that. The analogy is: As being cis tends to make you oblivious to trans issues, being white tends to make you oblivious to race issues.

Hate that you have to walk on eggshells. I'm sure that there are times where you got things wrong talking about race and even trans issues, but based on what I've seen there's no reason to believe you're anything but a smart person doing their best to talk through tough topics.

We must have the conversation in order to move forward. One simply achieves more by speaking without fear of labels. Hesitation and politeness will not save the lives of black children. I would offend with my every utterance,if it saved one minority kid. All else is nothing.
