Thread 2: The real purpose of having the "dating preferences debate" is often to disguise transphobia as a phony concern for sexual autonomy, feminism, or protecting homosexuality.

The point is, in essence, to get away with calling trans women men. And nothing more.

This functions as part of a wider strategy that works like this: 1 you intentionally bombard trans women with dysphoria triggers 2 you persist until they break down and angrily lash out
Show this thread -
3 you screen cap the angry lash-out and present it as proof of how creepy, how entitled, how aggressively male they really are 4 you present your acquired evidence the world, sneeringly aware that the world is intensely prejudiced against trans women and will side with you

To be a trans woman and have this conversation in public, you have to have an absolutely ice-cold demeanor of unflinching stoicism. Or they'll eat you alive.

I have to admit not seeing this coming up as a talking point in trans male communities. Would you be able to give me some links to examples?
-
i don't have examples, but in my experience as a trans dude, it does come up, just not as often. a lot of the time, it's likewise framed as "male entitlement," just... trans male entitlement??
