(Not necessarily the case for all trans women of course, and alas. If she's been presenting male for decades and came out yesterday she probably won't "feel" like a woman to most people.)

Thank you Contra for putting my exact feelings on the subject into words. The whole "trans women want to force people to fuck them" thing was really annoying me.

I find the fact that most people define *their* sexuality in terms of *other people's* gender to be weird in the first place, which is probably not unrelated to the fact that I consider myself to be pan.

This was actually a huge gate way to me coming out and accepting myself as trans knowing thinking that i wouldn't be able to find another lesbian that would be interested in being with me as I'd be seen as a man i still haven't but being myself is more important

I can tell you though that even though that since since I started presenting as female I'm near exclusively hit on by straight men and I don't even pass that well

Thought about occasional (much more simple) straight to camera stuff for things like this?

This is all 1000% spot on. I'm a straight guy with a trans gf. I've never once thought of myself as gay or bi or had romantic/sexual interest in men and never known a trans person until my gf (a little over a year ago). I'm in my 30s--I think I'd know by now if I were bi/gay.
