I find the real/performance piece of the alt-right to actually be inconsequential, the damage is still done, just like how it's still harmful to be going to a faith healer instead of a real doctor. Even if they know they're a phoney, it doesn't invalidate the harm they do.
yes of course I agree. My argument is not at all that they aren't extremely, extremely harmful. It's that it's useful to understand their motivations, their strategies, the way they think and operate.

I think the argument of those who criticize her is that you don't need to party, make friends, help them get money, run defenses of them or have brunch with them to "understand their motivations"
