My take is that we're "female" in the colloquial sense where female implies woman, but in a strictly biological sense trans women on HRT are sort of sexually non-binary, with some male attributes (chromosomes), some female attributes (secondary sex chars, endocrine system)...

FULLY AGREE, you took the words out of my mouth. And yes, about the whole biological thing, if biological sex is defined by purely chromosomes, then they are "biologically male" but the immense physical changes makes that slightly misty

Even chromosomes aren’t a “perfect” standard 100%. Ignoring mosaic, chimera, monism, klinefelters, etc. you still have transposed/missing SRY genes or AIS, etc. (also how many people get their chromosomes tested)
