I think Lindsay Ellis said in one of her videos 'Don't go to Film School, watch internet videos instead'. I don't know if that was meant as literal advice, but I've taken it as such regardless.

I guess it's a sausage party but only insofar as anything else. Mostly populated by so-so men while the real gems are(as usual) women like @thelindsayellis or @ContraPoints

I'd like to add Chantal Akerman's "News from Home" and Marguerite Duras' "Agatha and the Limitless Readings" to the list for everyone who hasn't seen them. Two of my favorite essay films directed by women.

Fucking. SAVED Gonna watch me some essays then. I'm a Lindsay Ellis Stan, and love wisecrack, it's time I expand that circle.
