You defiantly need to check out Powell's books. I'm new to the area but any bookstore that's as big as entire block in Portland is something I think everyone should visit.

Powell's is fantastic as a spectacle, but certainly not a meetup destination (unless Contra is signing Philosophy textbooks...). I'd strongly suggest something a bit more intimate e.g. a local coffeeshop or bar? Momo's? She'll at least get free drinks

In Vancouver you could totally meet on Davie st somewhere. It's the gaybourhood and it's also just a really nice part of town. <3

Do you think you can swing by Seattle on your way to Vancouver?

I know you don't identify as ace or aro but there is a Vancouver ace/aro meetup on the 13th at the Qmunity annex, I'm from Seattle but got tickets and a room for the cancelled event and wanted to hit that part of the queer community too when visiting.

Maybe come to the South sometime. I live in Birmingham, but I'd happily travel to Memphis or Atlanta or Asheville to see you talk or just meet you!

If you are going to be in Portland on the 11th for a meetup may I suggest either Powell's Books, or Annie Blooms in Multnomah village?

Will you ever be visiting near Toronto?

All depends (in Portland, OR)! If you’re looking for a restaurant or coffee place, there are too many good ones. I’ve gone to readings at the Lucky Lab and Kennedy school—lots of seating and good eats/drinks.
