It's a ticketed event, tickets available here: https://www.picatic.com/bridgingthedivide … Be advised that it's hosted by a conservative student group, so if you're interested in going be prepared for a dive into that milieu.

I will likely schedule a separate Vancouver meet up on an adjoining day too if anyone is interested in getting a drink while I'm there :)

But seriously though, this already seems like a bit of a mess if you have two people who are already pretty conservative and yourself being outnumbered. It would make more sense to have someone else there to sort of back you up?

I can see why people are suspicious and skeptical about this. There seems to be a feeling that Contra doing this is going to hurt the Trans women. But if she tries this and it’s terrible, than the only person it hurts is herself, right? She’s a big girl, isn’t she?

If we never counter conservative arguments, they go unchallenged. But if we do counter them, we risk “lending them credibility”. This just feels unfair, she’s showing up to a godless wasteland of neo-con trash to explain shit to people who may never have their views challenged.
