A friend of mine invented a character who's a parody of bad leftist rhetoric, and the Internet left has whole-heartedly embraced the caricature. I guess my friend is just wondering how to feel about that.

There's a false equivalence between nuance and centrism. Someone not thinking we should throw people on gulags because they like commerce doesn't make them a centrist.
