What do you think about that plenty of people think that the phrase "male-to-female transition" should be left behind, because the ones transitioning have never actually been male?
I personally disagree, and think of myself as MtF, though I'm aware it's not what the latest wave of philosophy on this recommends

On the Philosophy of this have you read any of the works on Gender Nihilism? (The trans-affirmative kind of gender abolitionism, not to be confused with TERF nonsense) It seems to appeal to me in some respects but it's very differing from my personal experience.

Nat, if you find comfort in the term then use it. Personally I find it dissatisfactory because it further fuels the notion that transition is inherently spectacle, and it also implies that at some point, trans women were men, when they never were.
