Okay, fine, but I also have to survive as an individual and can't always be a gender non-conformist hero. Online is one thing but in an Uber at 2am—it's just not the time.

right and then when you come back to twitter to talk about it, and you choose not to reflect that nuance, i will show up to help do it

the point was never about what makes me a woman or not. That's not for random Uber drivers to decide. It's simply about what makes life easier, what will help me avoid these situations I find painful.

I mean you're the one who just pointed out people die because of these expectations.
