I've been surprised by how much HRT and full-time transing have improved my life. Till then I wasn't 100% sure I was trans. But any shadow of a doubt is now gone. Knowing how this feels I can never go back.

The happiness is bought, though, at a definite cost. I've lost all sense of public and online safety. There are many parts of the country and world I simply cannot enter. I'm staring down an expensive, painful itinerary of medical procedures.

There's this TERF idea that "men are doing this" to trick lesbians (or men) into sleeping with them. But as a get-laid strategy, transitioning is about the worst you could possibly do.
