I'm constantly being lectured about how important it is that I empathize with my opponents, that I never be strident or condescending.

And it is in a strict sense true that this is a better way to reach an audience that's initially hostile to you.

What troubles me is how totally one-sided these pleas are. We're always asked to empathize with bigots. The emotional burden always on us.

When does anyone on the right ever discuss how important it is to empathize with SJWs, to approach us in a kind and welcoming way?
