Ugh I have to film this nightmare 3500-word script twice because @FoldableHuman said he does it that way and now I'm inadequate if I don't.
(you film it twice so the zoomed-in shots are still at full resolution)

Doing it that way definitely gives you the most flexibility during editing, which is a big plus.

Though I typically plan out shots ahead of time and shoot accordingly, so I don't have to do the whole thing twice.

Wait, do the shots layer themselves or what? Because I don't get how filming yourself twice would upscale the resolution during editing

I think the plan is 1. set camera for wide shot, shoot one "take" 2. set the camera for a close-up, shoot another "take"...?
