The framing should be "consider why you'd categorically rule out trans people," and I grant it's sometimes presented more aggro than that

"you're transphobic if you won't sleep with trans people" is not a good way to put it. And I'm sure it's sometimes put that way.

for sure. some are just making the argument poorly. that said, i have trans friends who genuinely argue genital preference can be changed.

Actually, I'd also argue that genital pref can be flexible. It has been in my case! But that seems like a separate question.

i don't think it's a separate question for people who are gay. *can* be flexible is the key, it's flexible for people who are bi.

There are e.g. a lot of straight guys who are into trans women but not guys. I don't think that makes them bi—

I think genitals are only part of what's involved when someone says e.g. "I'm attracted to women"

most of what we're attracted to in other people is not their genitals, in most cases
