I know a lot of you will disagree with this decision on my part so let me at least tell you what I'm thinking and am hoping to accomplish.

Laci has a huge audience, and I think a pretty diverse audience. A young audience.

I expect the audience to be much more sympathetic to me than, say, Blaire's audience was.

And even the Blaire debate won over a few converts. It wasn't a complete mistake, as some people suggested.

The other people Laci is discussing gender with are Blaire, and Meghan Murphy, a very outspoken TERF.

If I turned this down, there would be essentially no one standing up for non-binary people on this thing.

And I think @gogreen18 is a pretty sympathetic host, all things considered. I trust her to give me a fair chance to speak my view.

I know a lot of you think debating the validity of your gender ID is just a bad idea, period. And I would never ask or expect you to do that
