Whenever I criticize "Western values" rhetoric, people always respond by saying "so you're saying LGBT rights are bad?"

-
So this is a disingenuous bullshit argument that's supposed to stall and befuddle me, or make me look hypocritical to observers
-
"Western values" is a dogwhistle for Western—white—people. It's only when talking to me they pretend LGBT/feminism has anything to do with it
-
Even in response to this thread people are obstinately pretending my aversion to "Western values" rhetoric means I don't support LGBT rights

Western values are what made LGBT rights, feminism, etc possible. The idea that everyone is equal. People are important. Etc.

If you criticize an aspect, you must be denigrating the whole! It can only ever mean the one thing they say it means, and that's how it is!pic.twitter.com/RwHYQIyYxU
