Usually implying that Christianity is less fundamentalist, homophobic, patriarchal, etc. because of some reformation.
But which reformation are you talking about? Certainly not the Protestant one!

What in fact has happened is secular society has gotten more liberal around Christianity, and Christianity has adapted.

Generally, I say Islam needs (a second) Enlightenment, not a Reformation. Though I do think the Reformation did some good in neutering XTY

When I say "second" I mean another Muslim scientific Enlightenment like the one that preceded the flourishing of European scholasticism.
