You can criticize Judaism without being anti-Semitic. That doesn't mean anti-Semitism isn't a very real phenomenon.

Also, Islam isn't a race. But anti-Islamic bigotry often comes out as hating on anyone who looks Middle-Eastern. Or Sikh. Or SE Asian.

Because there's really not much overlap between the sort of person who would do that and the sort of person who can tell the difference.

Probably because muslims aren't recognized as another race in the same way as Jews.

Don't think I agree with that only because there are many people out there who see someone vaguely middle eastern and assume they're Muslim

As per, a lot of it comes out of ignorance. People conflate Islam with Islamism, confusing political agendas/narratives muddy waters further
