I'm simply saying that we need to be aware of the limitation of binary categories applied to reality that is not neatly binary.

Telling intersex or transsexual people "you are biologically male/female" is to ignore biological complexity to save conceptual simplicity.

Also this is usually said in an effort to undermine the person's gender identity, and not for any genuine scientific reason.

I suspect spectrum is binary 0 and 1, but it's floating point. So people can be 0.2, 0.5 or 0.9. But there's no such thing as 3 or 28

You can be Male, Feamle, or a mix of the two to varying degrees. But I don't see any biological foundation for "extra" genders.
