I always viewed it like this. Let's say we have two colors Blue & Red. Now there exists a spectrum between those colors & it isn't useful to

call every shade on either side Blue or Red because it is distinct e.g. Shades of color/gender.

And the fact that some intersex people can have (bio) children means that being able to reproduce =/= being (100% anyway) male or female.

Even if they reproduce the «female way» or «male way» that says more about our language and made up categories than biology.
