A lot has changed for me in the last year. I've gone from being a somewhat detached observer to a pretty committed SJW.

So it's more of a struggle than ever to try to see the humanity in the other side, to avoid feeling like a combatant in a good v. evil fight
But I still stand by my decision to leave the academic walls and try to engage populist ideas head on.

The important thing to remember is these aren't populist ideas. Trump did loose the popular vote after all, and is still very unpopular.
